Cost: $50.00 per student* We teach the NRA
First Steps Pistol Orientation course that is designed for beginning

necessary to safely own and use a specific model of pistol. This is
an excellent course for those trying to decide if they want to pursue
additional firearms related activities or training. The course is a
three-hour course and covers:
NRA Endorsed Basic Pistol CourseCost: $125.00 per
student* The NRA Basic Pistol Course is designed for those who have little or no experience with a handgun. The course also serves as a great refresher for those who have had some practical experience. The course focuses heavily on safety and shooting fundamentals. After completing this ten hour course, the participant will have the knowledge, skills and attitude required to safely handle a handgun with confidence. This course is offered as a women's only class and also a mixed class. In addition, this course may be scheduled for your own group of six to twelve participants. Those who complete this course may complete the additional three hour Missouri or Kansas specific portion of the training to obtain their Concealed Carry Endorsement. NRA Endorsed Personal Protection Inside the Home CourseCost: $150.00 per student* This course teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to the safe and efficient use of a handgun for protection of self and family, and provides information on the law-abiding individual’s right to self-defense. This is an eight-hour course. Students should expect to shoot approximately 100 rounds of ammunition. Students will learn basic defensive shooting skills, strategies for home safety and responding to a violent confrontation, firearms and the law, how to choose a handgun for self-defense, and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Personal Protection In The Home handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, the Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, and course completion certificate. Participants must be law abiding, adults (at least 21 years old), and experienced shooters (shooters able to show mastery of the basic skills of safe gun handling, shooting a group, zeroing the firearm, and cleaning the firearm) to maximize what can be learned from this course. Proof of shooting experience can be one of the following: NRA Basic Pistol Course Certificate, NRA FIRST Steps Course Certificate, NRA pistol competitive shooting qualification card, military DD 214 with pistol qualification, or passing the Pre-Course Assessment. This class is normally an 8 -
10 hour class that can be customized for a
group into a two day class for those who can put together a
minimum of five students. As a minimum, students must have taken
an eight hour state approved concealed carry class or either the
NRA Basic Pistol class or other similar class. You will need a
minimum of 400 rounds of ammunition, a
safe, fully functioning modern, semi-automatic handgun along with a
holster that will retain the handgun while running, one or more extra
magazines, safety glasses, and ear protection. Note that this is
not an NRA endorsed course.
Children's Classes
The K-3rd class will use
the NRA's Eddie Eagle material and will closely follow that format.
They do not shoot. If the see or find a firearm, the goal
is to always leave the firearm alone and get or tell an adult.
They watch a video, we may do a puppet show, and then we practice what
we've learned. The class is two hours in length.
The 4th - 6th is the most
difficult group. We do allow them to fire air guns and the
curriculum closely approximates the NRA First Steps Pistol course,
modified for the age group. We teach them that they are never to
touch a firearm without their parent's permission and also how to
respond when someone they know presents a firearm. The class is
four hours in length.
The 7th - 12th aligns with
the NRA First Steps Pistol class except that we cover other issues
like kids in school with guns. If we have enough participation,
we will go to the range after the classroom and shoot .22's. If the
number is smaller, and depending on ages, we may stick with air
guns. If we do travel to the range to shoot, parents will be
responsible for transportation. The class is four hours in
length.
Church Threat Assessment and PlanningWhile we specialize in
firearms training, we have significant experience evaluating risk and
defining plans to mitigate that risk. The initial consultation and
assessment is free of charge. If you are pleased with our
work, we will put together a mitigation plan to assist you in dealing with
the threats that you face today. If necessary, we will provide
training in the use of force. Call for Individual or Private Group Rates!*Ask about our group rates
